Maria Veklich is the Vice President of Government Affairs at Hermeus where she leads public policy, government affairs, and strategic communications activities. In this role, she educates and promotes the company’s programs and priorities with the executive branch, Congress, state and local officials, and media outlets.

Prior to joining Hermeus Maria was the Director of Government Affairs at Pratt & Whitney Military Engines. At Pratt & Whitney Maria directed the F135 incumbency campaign as well as other engine competition programs and coordinated a team of external resources, consultants, and media firms. Previously she was also the associate director of government programs and strategy at Collins Aerospace. Maria was a professional staff of the U.S. Senate Committee on Appropriations Defense Subcommittee.

Maria holds an MBA in finance from Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor’s in Political Science from the University of Rochester.
