AJ is an aerospace entrepreneur and technologist, focused on leading the Hermeus team to build the world’s fastest aircraft. He and his cofounders built Hermeus to meet urgent national security needs by bringing an iterative development approach to airplanes, using mature high-Mach technologies to build and field affordable high-speed aircraft today. 

Prior to Hermeus, AJ led development of the X-60A, a USAF hypersonic X-plane while serving as CEO of Generation Orbit. He also led hypersonic, rocket, and advanced orbital system design projects while at SpaceWorks.  

He holds a bachelor’s and master’s in aerospace engineering from Georgia Tech.
